Overview
This policy explains what data Avtigo collects when you use the platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Data We Collect
Account details you provide (name, email or phone, password), listing content (vehicle details, description, photos), messages you send through the platform, and technical data such as IP address and browser type collected automatically.
Verification Data
If you verify your phone number, we store the verification status, not the raw SMS code after it expires. If you verify your email, we store the verification timestamp.
How We Use Your Data
To operate core features: publishing and moderating listings, connecting buyers and sellers through messaging, showing your favorites, verifying your phone or email, and detecting abuse through the report system.
Legal Basis (GDPR)
We process your data based on your consent (account creation), the performance of our contract with you (providing the marketplace service), and our legitimate interest in keeping the platform safe (fraud and abuse prevention).
Third-Party Processors
Listing photos are stored with Cloudflare R2. Transactional emails (verification, password reset), where enabled, are sent through Resend. We do not sell your personal data to third parties or use it for advertising profiling.
Data Retention
We keep your account and listing data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're legally required to retain records.
Your Rights
Under GDPR you can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account directly from Settings, or contact us for any other request.
Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember your language preference. See the cookie banner shown on your first visit for details.
Children
Avtigo is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves; material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
